Medical imaging, Thermograpy:
It has been found that thermography images can detect the areas of lymphatic congestion to better assist in the treatment of Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
More specifically the discussion revolves around issues related to breast health and the use of mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and thermography (digital infrared imaging). Women with inflammation or congestion of lymph nodes or inflammation of soft tissue areas may be asked by their doctor to get some form of medical imaging or they may be interested in having more information for personal peace of mind.
In many situations breast health issues exist before they are large enough to be detected by physical examination or during lymphatic therapy. For this reason we often recommend using medical imaging as a way of getting a second opinion and as a way to increase our awareness of areas that require further attention or closer scrutiny during initial or subsequent lymphatic therapy sessions.
We have found thermography to be a low cost, noninvasive tool that provides informative reports that are helpful for lymphatic therapy sessions and for post therapy follow-up scans. The reports provided by Healthyviewsthermography. in south Florida, FL help both our clients and our therapists to gain insight into breast health issues.
At Lymphatic Massage of Florida, we take a holistic approach toward your present and future health. Using the patented and FDA approved Med-Hot Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) technology; we seek “biological markers” and “Risk indicators” revealed in the 7 to 20-plus views in the Breast and Full Body Scans. These procedures are completely safe because no radiation is used to acquire the images. Thermography is non-invasive and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, requires no physical contact or fluids to drink, and the patterns seen are compared to standards set by Johns Hopkins University. Thermography of the breast can detect abnormalities from 8-10 years before mammography can detect a mass.
Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging, DITI, is a non-invasive test of physiology. It is a valuable procedure for alerting a doctor to changes tat can indicate early stages of breast disease than has been possible through breast self examination, doctor exam, or mammography alone.
Women across South Florida can benefit from DITI breast screening. However, it is especially appropriate for younger women (30-50) whose denser breast tissue makes it more difficult for mammography to be effective. Also for women of all ages who may have breast implants or for many other reasons, are unable to undergo routine mammography. This test can provide a “clinical marker” to the doctor or mammographer that a specific area of the breast needs particularly close examination.
It takes years for a tumor to grow, thus the earliest possible indication of abnormality is needed to allow for the earliest possible treatment and intervention. DITI’s role in monitoring breast health is to help in early detection and monitoring abnormal physiology.
